Description:

The Dexter Parsonage Museum, on the National Register of Historic Places, as was home to Reverend Martin Luther King, early Civil Rights leader Vernon Johns and ten other pastors of the historic Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church. The site features an interpretive center, a serene garden and a gift shop. It is located just steps away from the Alabama State Capitol.

Open Tue. - Fri. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
